We have been given the go ahead to build 40 new homes off Droitwich Road in Fernhill Heath.
Our new development, called Heath Meadow, will comprise a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom properties, aimed at people on all stages of the property ladder, from first time buyers to second-steppers and downsizers. Ensuring it answers the local housing need, affordable housing will also be delivered.
We spoke to Rupert Parkin, Land Director at Piper Homes, who said: “We’re very excited to have been given the green light for these new homes in Fernhill Heath. We’ve put a lot of hard work into designing properties that we believe are well-suited to the area and answer the local housing need, as well having real kerb-appeal and an enviable specification.
“Our plan is to start construction of the new homes next month, which means we’ll be on schedule to release the first house for sale in January 2020.”
The Piper Homes’ team has worked with Worcester-based architects, Zebra Architects, to design the new homes, all of which are sympathetic to the local architecture. External features will include feature bay windows and a mix of brick and render finishes.
Our future homeowners will also enjoy an area of green, open space at the southern side of the development, as well as landscaping throughout the site. Impressively, 40% of the new development is allocated to green space. A new play area will also be delivered as part of the scheme.
Rupert continued: “We place huge importance on incorporating our new homes into the existing community and, as such, we will be working with local people to name the new streets and will be looking at events and local organisations that we can be part of. There’s a real community in Fernhill Heath and we would love to be part of that.”
Located off the A38, the new homes in Fernhill Heath will have easy access to Worcester and Droitwich Spa, both of which are just three miles away.
