Five reasons you shouldn’t quit this Quitter’s Day

Today is the day that most people give up on their New Year’s Resolution. That’s according to latest research by Strava which has also found that a staggering 80% of us will give up on our resolutions by the second week of February. If your New Year’s Resolution was to make 2020 the year you buy a new home though, here are five reasons why you shouldn’t quit this Quitter’s Day.

1.      We will sell your house for you under Easymove

As the name suggests, this scheme is designed to make moving into a new Piper Home easy. If you’re struggling to sell your existing home then this could be the answer. Under EasyMove, we’ll sell your house for you, taking away the most stressful part of any house move. We’ll market your home and then, once we’ve received an offer that you’re happy to accept, you can start looking forward to moving. It also means there will be no estate agent fees to pay. We told you it was easy.

2.      Help to Buy could mean you need a smaller deposit

Help to Buy has already helped in excess of 211,000 people get onto and move up the property ladder in the UK. Under the scheme you only need a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by an equity loan from the Government. You only have until March 2021 to take advantage of the scheme in its current form though. From April next year, Help to Buy will only be available to people purchasing their first home and regional caps will apply, so, if you’re hoping to use Help to Buy to move up the property ladder, now is the time to get househunting. You can find out more about Help to Buy here.

3.      You can get free independent mortgage advice

We get it. Buying a house comes with a multitude of questions – how much can you afford, what deposit will you need, how will Stamp Duty and legal fees affect affordability; the list goes on. That’s why we work with a team of independent mortgage advisors who will help answer all your questions and give free, impartial advice. Simply speak to one of our sales team who can help to get the conversations started.

4.      We’ll be opening the doors to lots of new show homes

We’re busy planning some exciting show home openings at a whole range of our developments. Our next openings will be the four bedroom Belfry at The Fairways in Harborne on the 1st February and a five bedroom Overbury at Bredon Gate in Ashton Under Hill on the 8th February; both of which are sure to impress. Watch this space for more show home unveilings – and new development announcements – later in the year.

5.      You can get free carpets and flooring!

We know January can be a tough month – and we really don’t want any quitters on our hands – so, to help you out in your house buying journey, we’re including free carpets and flooring in all our new homes that are purchased during January 2020. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our show homes very soon!
