Five reasons to pick Pickford Green

Centred around a community orchard and with stunning views across the local fields, our idyllic new development, Pippinfields, in the rural hamlet of Pickford Green, is a true countryside escape.

That doesn’t mean that our new homes have no local amenities though; far from it. All your everyday essentials, as well as Ofsted rated good infant and junior schools and fantastic country pubs and restaurants can be found at nearby  Meriden and Balsall Common. Plus, Pippinfields is less than five miles from the current City of Culture, Coventry.

Here we explore what makes Pickford Green such a great place to call home…

  1. SO many beautiful walks

There are endless walking routes to explore around Pippinfields. One of our favourites has to be Millison’s Wood; home to an abundance of wildlife and mature woodland, including rare butterflies and birds. Once part of the larger Arden Forest, Millison’s Wood received Local Nature Reserve Status in 2002.

  1. Dining with a view

Just a six minute drive away, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking rolling countryside at the idyllic The Barn at Berryfields, in Meriden. Whether you choose to dine in the a la carte restaurant, head down to the heated teepee for street food and drinks, or shop sustainably in the farm shop, this well-renowned venue has you covered. There’s even a new indoor eco-skating experience, which is sure to thrill every member of the family! This is just one of the many excellent places to eat and drink nearby.

  1. Entertainment on your doorstep

Offering a diverse programme of performances, including theatre, film screenings, music and exhibitions, Warwick Arts Centre will become your go-to destination. Just down the road from Pippinfields, this unique venue also hosts weekly workshops, from free creative activities for families, to sessions led by local artists.

If theatre and craft isn’t your thing but you love to play a round of golf (or visit the spa), there’s a choice of two golf experiences almost on the doorstep: choose between Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa’s glorious 18-hole golf course, or enjoy a pitch and putt session at Allesley Park Golf Course.

  1. City of Culture

Coventry was proud to be named the 2021 City of Culture and is still in the midst of celebrating this prestigious accolade with an array of events, music, dance, theatre and large-scale spectacle. One experience not to be missed this spring will be the  launch of the UK’s first permanent immersive, state-of-the-art digital art gallery. The Reel Store gallery will soon open with ‘Machine Memoirs: Space’, a 360-degree cinematic experience by internationally renowned artist Refik Anadol in collaboration with NASA.

  1. Easy to get further afield

Whether you need to commute to work or often visit family and friends, our new homes benefit from incredibly easy access to transport links including Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Rail station, as well as the M1, M42, M40, M45 and M6 motorways. Plus, Coventry rail station is just a 20 minute drive away and from there, you can be in London Euston in less than an hour.

Sound like Pickford Green is ticking a lot of boxes? Register your details here to be the first to hear about the launch of our new two, three and four bedroom homes.
